The combination of nature and movement is perfect for doing mind-set shifting work when dealing with heavy feelings, inner conflict or when feeling stuck in a situation.

There is increasingly more research available that proves the positive benefits that nature and being in nature can have on our mental and physical health. This backs up my personal experience. Any time I spend time outside in nature, I feel calm, refreshed and energized afterwards and oftentimes I receive a wealth of new ideas after walking in the forest.
To be able to make the outdoors my ‘office’ is a huge motivator and bonus for me however, that is not the main reason for offering sessions in nature. It’s because I want you to experience the same benefits. I know that the combined factors of nature, exercising (this can be a short walk) breathing fresh air and my coaching guidance have a multiplied effect that is bigger than the sum of all of them individually.
Nature helps reduce stress and supports to calm you down sufficiently to make the inner journey. Additionally, it motivates you to take the actions required of you to live the life you desire.

The below definition of wellness describes aptly what you experience when embarking the coaching journey.
Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you’re thriving.
Habits encompass anything that you do on a regular basis, as well as those things you say to yourself, the images you watch, content you digest and the thoughts you think. You can change your habits to incorporate new ones that help you thrive!
Open Hearth is all about creating spaces for you where you can feel safe, learn to understand yourself better, get clarity and insights in which habits you need to change or acquire to achieve your dreams. Whenever we have the opportunity, we love to create these spaces in nature. From a private coaching conversation in the forest, a retreat at a beautiful setting outside Nairobi, or a workshop in a wonderful garden.
